The immune system comprises the white blood cells, lymph nodes, spleen, thymus, and bone marrow. It functions primarily to eliminate and recognize foreign invaders in your body. When the immune system malfunctions and fails to recognize the normal and healthy cells from foreign invaders, an imbalanced immune system results; thereby, leading to an autoimmune disorder.

According to the American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association, autoimmune diseases including imbalanced immune system are a major health problem. It can affect each and every part of your body, signaling a lot of symptoms, including thinning of hair or hair loss.
